  1. Response to Intervention (RTI) Committee Established

A. Select and assign duties of committee specialists

B. Select and synchronize RTI meeting dates

C. Write and review RTI referral procedure guidelines with instructional and support staff

D. Review universal screening referrals with specialists to contact parents for meetings


2. Teachers’ Grade-level Cumulative Folder Review

A. Sort and divide the number of students equally by teachers in each grade

B. Sort and organize data in each folder

C. Administer Reading and Mathematics Universal Screening tests

D. Review and refer screening concerns to RTI Committee


3. School-wide universal screening

A. Select and administer reading and math screenings (1st-week students return)

B. Review and analyze screening results (by grade level / by 2nd week)

C. Divide and label reading and math concerns

D. Submit concerns to RTI Committee (by 3rd week of school)


4. Family & Staff support team established

A. Select parent volunteers for the in-school parent center

B. Provide access to social services through school contacts

C. Provide information brochures for outside counseling services

D. Provide staff with crisis support (as needed) through school contacts
